Residents of Kogi state have expressed disappointment after the Isolation center recently built by the Kogi State government, in preparation for possible out break of COVID-19 in the state got destroyed by a pre-rainy season wind.

Afriupdate gathered that the new isolation center located directly behind Federal Medical Centre Mortuary was blown by the wind on Tuesday 28th of April 2020.

As seen below, a social media user, @Georgiitto who shared the video wrote;

“Ladies and Gentlemen, the isolation center recently built at FMC lokoja before and after rain.”

It would be recalled that Nigeria on Wednesday recorded a total of 1728 coronavirus cases across the country with 51 deaths and 307 recoveries. Interestingly, Kogi state is the only state that has not recorded any case yet.

The coronavirus outbreak first hit some of the world’s largest economies. After originating in China, Italy and Spain were particularly hard hit. The U.S. now leads the world in the number of people who have contracted COVID-19 and those who have died from the disease.
